{January 28, 2008}   i am now baptized.
i was baptized yesterday morning at church.
it was AMAZING!
very happy was i, and my family and friends were very proud of me.
my dad and tammy got me a cold and amethyst cross and my friends lindsay, wendy, jim and tara got me a pewter cross on a leather cord that says set free and forgiven on it.
twas a very nice day for me yesterday.
i got baptized then i went to cowboy church and rode in the fun show.
which the horse, in a previous post i described as being very spooky and difficult, and is usually slow, was very well behaved and FAST.
that made me happy, and there was a lot of people and with increased class fees, we probably made close to 400$ to benefit shining stars and towards our indoor arena.

{January 9, 2008}   lame computer crap
so i had no free space on my computer and no matter what i did…
i couldn’t get enough space to defrag it and make it work right.
bleh.
i lost everything.
i did a complete system restore.
grr.
i must get all of my music back.
and i had a LOT!
i am angry.

{January 1, 2008}   sore throat and painkillers
very sore throat.
to be expected when recovering from having your tonsils scooped out of your body.
they have me liquid hydrocodone, which i didn’t know is generic Vicodin.
hmm.
i can’t drive for like a week after being off of it because if i get pulled over i will get a D.U.I.
how fun would that be?
not very.
that sucks though.
newly licensed and wanting to drive.
but i can’t because i don’t want a D.U.I.
and i don’t feel very good anyway.
so meh.
living off of mushy food.
sick of applesauce.
i ate too much of it.
and it gave me really bad heartburn.
gatoraide, vitamin water, and water is all i have been drinking.
except for a little bit of milk to help the heart burn.
tried to eat mashed potatoes with sour kraut mixed in, ate most of it but had to quit because my throat was too sore.
my mom bought me a milk shake from sheetz on the way to take lunch to james.
got home and watched america’s next top model.
all day!
-.-
at lunch at my nan and pappy’s i said that so far frosties and ramen are the easiest things to eat.
so around 530 i am guessing i don’t remember the time exactly, my pappy calls.
it went like this:
pappy-’did you get a frosty?’
me-’no but my mom bought me a milk shake from sheetz’
pappy-’do you want a frosty?’
me-’yea but you don’t have to get me one’
pappy-’well we were going to come out there because i wanted you to check my lottery ticket and we were going to get you a frosty’
me-’you don’t have to get me one, but you can come out and i will check the ticket’
pappy-’what kind do you want?’
me-’chocolate’
i am officially totally spoiled by my grandparents.
they made a trip to get me a frosty.
they love me.
and i love them.
to no end.
they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
we are taking them to dinner at dutch apple dinner theater or to dinner then to sight and sound when i am able to eat solid food.
my room is getting clean!
weeeeeee!
james has been working on it the past few days and won’t let me help him.
he bought me a new bed frame and box springs and i am getting a new mattress in the next month or so.
memory foam.
=]
new years goals:
build and strengthen my relationship with God and my father.
spread the word of God to all those who don’t know Him.
lose weight.
get my school work done on time.
go back to public school.
get in shape.
volunteer with a bunch of stuff.
get ready for senior year and going to college.
this year is going to be great!!!!!
i’m not going to become a different katie,
i am going to improve who i already am.
and start preparing myself for the adult world.
cool God moment.
when tammie’s mother was in the hospital, i texted her the longest text i have ever sent.
it had a verse in it: Isaiah 43.2
she got the text after midnight, and didn’t get a chance to look up the verse.
when the pastor came to visit, pray and have scripture with tammie’s mother and family, he read that verse, without knowing that i had sent it to her.
when tammie heard that, she was like ‘ahh’
and everyone looked at her like she was nuts.
when the pastor came to see me before my surgery he told me that too, tammie had told me when i went to her mother’s viewing, it gave me a lot more comfort before going into surgery.
he mentioned it at the funeral, which was the same day as my surgery and i am still upset that i missed.
that shows that God is always there and works in spectacular ways.
